School Meals

Food and drink

The School Meals here at Hirst Wood Nursery School & Children's Centre are freshly prepared on the premises each day.   Each meal is £1.45 and consists of a nutritionally balanced main meal (with a vegetarian and halal option) followed by a pudding.  There are weekly menus on display outside each of the Nursery classrooms, in Reception and on the kitchen door.   We are happy to accommodate individual dietary needs – please speak to your class team.

The school dinners are on a 3 weekly cycle, which can be seen by clicking on the bar below.

We are on 'week 2' menu for the week commencing 27th November 2017.

Healthy snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon sessions – the present charge is £7.00 per half term for children with us for 15 hours per week. For children attending 30 hours per week the charge will be £14 per half term.      There is a pictorial and numerical sign for children to access snack independently and water and milk are always available - there is no charge for this.
