School Meals

Food and drink

The School Meals here at Hirst Wood Nursery School are freshly prepared on the premises each day.   Each meal is £2 and consists of a nutritionally balanced main meal (with a vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian or halal option) followed by a pudding.  There are weekly menus on display outside each of the Nursery classrooms, in Reception and on the kitchen door.   We are happy to accommodate individual dietary needs – please speak to your class team.

School meals are paid using the online system Parent Pay. Further details will be given to you once your child starts.

The school dinners are on a 3 weekly cycle which can be seen  below.

Healthy snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon sessions – an envelope will be handed out each half term for voluntary donations towards the twice daily snack that children enjoy.  There is a pictorial and numerical sign for children to access snack independently and water and milk are always available - there is no charge for this.
